Service Description

Here's the uncomfortable truth about unconscious bias. Nobody thinks they have it. That's literally the point. It's not the stuff people do when they're being deliberately awful. It's the micro-decisions. The assumptions. The split-second judgements that happen before your brain's even checked in. The colleague who gets talked over in meetings. The CV that goes in the bin because the name doesn't sound right. The pronoun mistake that gets laughed off as a slip when actually — no, it really isn't. This workshop is for everyone in your business. Not just managers. Not just HR. Everyone. Because unconscious bias doesn't respect job titles. What I cover Starting with the basics — what unconscious bias actually is, where it comes from and why the human brain is basically hardwired to do it. Then we get specific. Because LGBTQ+ people — and trans and non-binary people in particular — experience a very particular flavour of it that most workplaces haven't even begun to get their heads around. We’ll explore what that looks like day to day. In language. In the small stuff that people think doesn't matter but absolutely does. In policies that sound inclusive on paper and quietly aren't in practice. And then — this is the important bit — we figure out what to actually do about it. What you'll leave with Not a certificate to stick on the wall and forget about. Not a vague warm feeling about inclusion. The uncomfortable reality is that you can't fix unconscious bias — you can't think your way out of something your brain does before you're even aware of it. What you can do is learn to interrupt it. Spot the pattern. Pause before the damage is done. That's what this workshop gives you — not a cure, but the habit of catching yourself. Which, honestly, is where it actually starts. Who it's for Everyone. The whole team. That's not a corporate nicety, it's genuinely how this works — bias doesn't live in one department. Format Two hours. In-person or online. Delivered in a way that's direct, honest and — because nobody learns anything when they're sitting there waiting to be lectured at — genuinely interactive.
